Power Washing Your home
Hello Abbewood Association Members,
It’s that time of year again to freshen up our homes. We typically follow a two-year cycle for power washing; however, this year we are waiting until the mulching is completed and the roads are paved. For that reason, it makes the most sense to schedule cleaning after the roadwork is finished—hopefully by late May or early June.
At that time, we ask that you take a look at your home and make arrangements to have it power washed as needed.
You are welcome to hire any contractor you choose. Please be sure that whoever you hire carries proper liability insurance.
For your convenience, below are three contractors who have worked in Abbewood in the past. The choice of contractor is entirely up to each homeowner. The Board will not be involved in this process.
We are very proud of how well our community is maintained. Thank you for helping us keep Abbewood looking its best.
Clean Machine – (413) 734-4384
$25 discount per home if 3 or more homeowners schedule together
Great White – (413) 478-4447
Mike Tomalonis (General Contractor) – (860) 508-6249
Thank you,
The Abbewood Board of Directors

Winter Services Update: 2/10/2026
Dear Abbewood Members,
This notice is to provide an update on Winter Services expenditures for the current fiscal year (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026).
The approved Winter Services budget for this fiscal year is $34,700. As of today, total Winter Services expenditures have reached $43,634, which places us $8,934 over budget. The recently received invoice from Beebe significantly contributed to this overage.
For historical context, the highest annual Winter Services expense over the past seven fiscal years was $35,090 during fiscal year 2020–2021. As a result, this year’s spending places us well beyond any prior winter-related expenditures and into uncharted territory.
We will continue to monitor expenses closely and provide updates as necessary. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be more cooperative for the remainder of the winter season.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
Abbewood BOD
